IAIN Salatiga Lecturers became MC Arab-Indonesia in Multaqa Azhariyyiin

Two lecturers from IAIN Salatiga (Dr. H. Muh. Irfan Helmy, Lc., M.A. and Suesti Maharani, M.Pd.) become Master of Ceremony (MC) Arab – Indonesia in Multaqa Azhariyyiin (Great Reunion of Indonesian Islamic Scholars from Al-Azhar ) with Grand Sheikh, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prof. Quraish Shihab, TGB, AlAzhar Rector, Arab Ambassadors and Muslim figures all over Indonesia. These two lecturers are chosen by Ust. Dr. H. Sidqon Maesur, Lc., M.A. , who is one of senior Arabic Lecturer in IAIN Salatiga and the Head of  Al Azhar Alumni International Organization (OIAA) in Central Java. (Sid/MFL)

IAIN Salatiga Updates Overseas Cooperation Agreement

SALATIGA – IAIN Salatiga has updated an abroad memorandum of understanding with Education and Culture Attaché (ATDIKBUD) Kuala Lumpur (Prof. Dr. Ir. Ari Purbayanto, M. Sc.) and Kuala Lumpur Indonesian School (Dr. Agustinus Suharto, M. Pd.). The signing ceremony was packed in a seminar entitled “Strengthening Educational Institutional in Multicultural Cooperation” in Building B Hall at Campus 3 of AIN Salatiga, Friday (20/04/2018).
Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation of IAIN Salatiga, Moh. Khusen M.Ag M.A in his speech said cooperation with overseas was made to provide wider service to the students. “Access that we open not only in the country but also abroad,” he said.
He explained that since 2011, IAIN Salatiga has International Class Program (KKI). The establishment of this program encourages the institution to expand international cooperation to provide field experience to students. “We hope this cooperation is widely useful for students. Since 2011 we have cooperated with some countries in ASEAN,” explained Mr. Khusen.
Meanwhile Rector of IAIN Salatiga, Dr. Rahmat Hariyadi said that through the establishment of KKI program, IAIN Salatiga graduates are expected to be able to introduce the face of Indonesian Islam to the world. This is in line with the vision of IAIN Salatiga to be a reference study of Indonesian Islam.
“Starting in 2013 we have sent PPL students (fieldwork practice) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Bangkok (Thailand), Myanmar, Singapore,” he said.
Further described, IAIN Salatiga has three ways for students to go abroad namely KKI program, talent scouting program and independent initiative program. “For talent scouting program, we launched this year (2018). They (students, red), equipped with readiness to continue study abroad, ” he said.
On the other hand, on the occasion the Education and Cultural Attaché Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Kuala Lumpur Prof. Ari Purbayanto, Head of the US-Europe Bureau of Foreign Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia, Dr. Yaya Surtarya, M. Pd., Head of Engineering Cooperation of South-South and Triangular of the State Secretariat of Indonesia, Mukhammad Fahrurozi, S. Sos., M.Si and Principal of Indonesia Kuala Lumpur, Dr. Agustinus Suharto, M.Pd shared about opportunities to study and teach abroad.(CKA/MFL)

6 students of IAIN Salatiga enliven NACOSS III in Malaysia

SALATIGA – IAIN Salatiga sends 6 students and one lecturer to the 3rd National Conference on The Sciences and Social Sciences (Nacoss) held at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Wednesday-Thursday (2-3/05/2018).

The conference, which was participated by 111 participants from various countries, was initiated by the Academic International Dialogue (AID) Conference. The six students representing IAIN Salatiga and Indonesia in the conference were Ikfi Rizqia, Wawan Kurniawan and Muhammad Abdau Yazid from Science Education Department (Tadris IPA); Umi Kulsum and Dennis Ossy January from Master Graduate of Islamic Primary School Teacher Education Department (S2 PGMI); and Tio Famor Gunawan from the Department of Sharia Banking. In addition there is also a lecturer namely Prof. Mansur, M. Ag who also became a presenter in the conference.

One of the Indonesian committee, Dr. Budiyono Saputro said the conference discussed various issues including teaching methods, culture & religion, wisdom of change, banking & finance, earning & expenses, trust building, satisfaction & performance, education as industry, Arabic, society & neighborhood, science & digital, undergraduate, leadership & management, industry variaties, teaching & learning.

“The conference event has several sessions, including keynote sessions, video presentations, parallel sessions and poster presentations,” he said in a written message.

The Academic International Dialogue (AID) Conference hosts two conferences annually in May and October. For May 2nd, 2018, hold the 3 rd International Conference on the Sciences and Social Sciences (Nacoss) and 31 October 2018 was held by 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (ICOSAH) in Malaysia.
